Summer, Summer, Summertime!!!!!

We are so excited about all of the activities going on in and around Brenham this Summer. Starting in May we have the Country Flavors Festival. It will be May 3rd from 10:00am to 5:00 pm. Come and enjoy a festival of food, beverages, shopping and other activities in the midst of live entertainment. Visitors are able to walk through more than 40 merchant locations. Arts and craft booths and various Children's activities wil be available. There is will be and ice cream smorgasboard with 30 flavors of Blue Bell. The Brenham Farmer's Market will also be open from 8:00am to 1:00pm. The Pilot Club is sponsoring a 5K Fun Run and 1 mile walk. Registration is $25.00, with last minute registration on race day at 6:45 am. Admission is Free. Mother's Day weekend the 118th Maifest with be held in Brenham. There will be two parades, one Friday morning and one Saturday morning. There will be food and entertainment at Fireman's park, with a Coronation both nights. June and July -- Cool Tunes on Hot Nights series kicks off with Abbey Rode on June 28th. July 5th is Big Otis, July 12th Vince Vance an the Valiants, Jerry Diaz and Hanna's Reef will play on July 19th and The Grooves finish off the series on July 26th. All concerts start at 6:30 on the Courthouse Square in Historic Downtown Brenham. Admission is Free On June 20-21 Brenham will be celebrating its Sesquicentennnial. There will be a Gala, cultural and craft exhibits, good, old-fashioned games, a car show and live entertainment. Admission is Free.
